- WHAT A FINISH! Scotland and Russia lose at the death. England only needs a draw on Wednesday at home to Croatia to get into the tournament. #
- McClaren’s been given a lifeline. If England loses this one there will be hell to pay! Meanwhile Scottish fans seem happy just to be there. #
- Turkey are still alive by beating Norway. So is Bulgaria barring Holland’s result. #
- How great was it to see Roman Abramovich’s sour face sitting in Tel Aviv while his Russian team got beat by a team with nothing to play for. #
- Croatia got wind of the score in Israel and promptly conceeded two goals. England can actually win the group with a 2-0 win on Wednesday. #
- Michigan lose to Ohio State - 4th time in a row. No Doubt Lloyd Carr is out now. Typifies his season to be sure. Also Harvard beat Yale
